Hello, I’m Sam, a photographer, artist, and mountain dweller based in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, a small Alpine town tucked between the peaks of the Paradiski ski area in Savoie, France
Originally from Cornwall, England, I moved to the French Alps years ago and never quite made it back, the mountains, the snow, and the slower pace of life stole my heart. After a handful of ski seasons scrubbing chalets and chasing powder, I swapped cleaning kits for cameras and haven’t looked back.
Today, I specialise in vibrant, natural photography for interiors, properties, small businesses, families, and weddings, always with a focus on storytelling, light and detail. Whether I’m photographing a luxury ski chalet, a rustic family home, a brand’s new product line, or a windswept mountain elopement, I approach every project with creativity, care and a relaxed, honest energy.
Alongside my photography, I’m also a land and seascape artist, creating original oil paintings inspired by the mountains, skies and shifting light of the French Alps and my childhood beside the Cornish coast. My work focuses on alpine peaks and moody seascapes.
